During nurse leader rounding, the husband of a patient shared that his wife received excellent stroke education and care at Richmond Medical Center. I asked if there was anyone he would like to recognize, and he enthusiastically mentioned "Shawnie" as an excellent nurse. Her ability to educate and assist stroke patients is a great resource to Kaiser Permanente Richmond. They credited her with helping their loved one in a way no other nurse did.
