Shayla went above and beyond for my sister when she had to have an unexpected procedure in UCU. Shayla made her feel comfortable right away and treated her like family. She held my sister's hand and was her "shoulder to cry on" through the whole procedure. My sister said she was God's gift to her at that point in her life. Shayla was also very knowledgeable about what needed to be done for the procedure and anticipated my sister's and the doctor's needs. She made my sister and our family feel really at ease. She also prayed with my sister because she knew she was scared. She has personally contacted me several times since this incident to check on my sister and offer her assistance if anything else came up. She is a fantastic example of a DAISY Nurse.
