Shayla took the time to introduce herself, share her family stories, and make the ICU more personable and caring. She made it less cold and sterile.
My mother entered the ICU from the ER after suffering a stroke. Once on the floor, my mom and family had the distinct pleasure of meeting her nurse. Shayla took the time to introduce herself, share her family stories, and make the ICU more personable and caring. She made it less cold and sterile. My mom’s every need was met; every procedure explained in detail, every medication detailed before administration, and its desired outcome. Shayla ensured my family members were aware of my mother’s condition in my absence. She took the time to change my mom’s bedding numerous times with a smile (I might add). I hope my mom and I continue to get the same level of excellent care that we have received while in 5E ICU.
Thank you, Shayla, for your exceptional service. My family and I appreciate your thoughtfulness. I was saddened to see my mother leave your care. This letter cannot fully express how much we appreciate your thoughtfulness.
