Shay was a gift from heaven for my mom, dad, and our family during my mom's stay in the hospital. She went beyond what is expected as a nurse. She talked to us like we were part of her family, she cried happy tears with us when we thanked her for all her loving care. She accepted our hugs, laughed with us, and shared stories with us. She eased our minds, words can't express what this meant; to be able to leave a loved one in another's care and know they will be in good hands is such a blessing. She explained things we asked about. She brightened our days. My dad told her, "You are like a light when you walk in the door." She truly was! She works from her heart and that is healing for everyone she is around.
