I would like to commend Nurse Shayna Woodcock from the ICU at Memorial Hospital for the exceptional care and compassion she showed my husband, L, during his ICU stay. L was facing a very critical medical situation, and our family was overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty.
From the moment Shayna came into our room, she brought a sense of calm that we desperately needed. She had an incredible ability to ease L’s anxiety while also reassuring me during one of the most difficult times of our lives. Shayna was consistently attentive, compassionate, and professional. No matter how busy the ICU was, she never made us feel rushed. She patiently answered every question we had, explained L’s treatment in a way we could understand, and made sure we always knew what was happening. Her kindness and confidence helped L feel safe and gave our family hope when we needed it most.
What sets Shayna apart is not only her outstanding nursing skills but also her genuine compassion. She treated L with dignity, respect, and heartfelt kindness, and she cared for our entire family, not just her patient.
