Sheena took the time to call and find a representative to go get a patients dog while he was hospitalized. This man had no family that could go to the house to see about the dog. He had been here for 5 days and was becoming increasingly anxious about the dog's status. Sheena arranged for a woman from a no kill shelter to go pick up the dog & foster him until the man could return home. This was way above & beyond the normal duties of a nurse on the unit. I was very impressed with how she arranged this transaction so quickly & effectively! She not only helped our patient, but also made sure the dog was taken care of in the summer heat!
