Shehana Thorbourne, Registered Midwife

Shehana Thorbourne exemplified what it means to be a caring and compassionate midwife, going above and beyond in their support of a lady and her young family during a very difficult period. She made sure that she was well looked after and reassured her throughout her time here.

Shehana came in to work on their day off and worked to maintain continuity of care for her. When the police and social worker came to arrest her, Shehana stood by and supported her children and sister.

Shehana bought dinner for them and paid for all her transport fare to court as her phone was taken for forensics.
