Sheila is an extraordinary nurse in so many ways. Sheila exhibited extreme attention to detail by understanding our chart and birth plan - in some instances better than us. Sheila communicated so effectively everything that was happening between Dr's tests and concerns we had. At one point listening to a family member advocate for an early release of a patient, Sheila with compassion and grace effectively facilitated a mediation between the family member and the pediatrician. Sheila was the nurse who stood by our son during his circumcision. Our son bonded so quickly to Sheila that when he returned he was not even crying. When we changed our baby's diaper for the first time and he would not stop crying, Sheila picked him up and immediately he stopped crying. Sheila was like an angel. Sheila's attention to detail toward our son probably saved his life or at the least serious injury. We received a car seat as a gift and washed the cloth potion resulting in all the straps of the car seat put back wrong by us the parents. Sheila noticed our error and completely reassembled the car seat properly.

I came into the birthing center at 38 weeks pregnant- thinking my baby girl had passed away. I was sent from my OB's office because he couldn't find her heartbeat. I came here for them to confirm the death. Come to find our there was her heartbeat and I delivered her by emergency C-section ASAP. Sheila was by my side from the very beginning. She was so supportive I cannot even express it enough how thankful I am for her. I definitely couldn't have emotionally done it without her. She never once left my side.
