Sheila has a soft and caring heart towards her patients. Known for her outstanding nursing skills and dedication in this profession. She has been working in the NICU for 25 years and you can always rely on her when a situation arises. In the past, she accepted the role as the acting head nurse and was able to perform the duties and responsibilities that were handed over to her.

Going beyond the extra mile, Sheila has made a difference in the unit by being a leader and advocate in promoting and formulating concepts related to Developmental Care of the neonates especially the low birth weight and sick preterm. Thus maximizing neurological development and reducing long-term cognitive and behavioral problems. She shows respect to her colleagues and physicians, speaks to the parents with compassion and professionalism.

She is also a good educator and role model to the new nurses in the unit and has produced top performing nurses who also became leaders. We truly appreciate the efforts she has made to uphold the department’s mission and vision.
