It is because of Sheila that my daughter is alive. Sheila was my nurse while I was in labor and delivery for monitoring. She had me turn a few times and she kept adjusting the monitor. I was typically monitored 20 min at a time, I was monitored longer for Sheila. At some point, she called my doctor and I was rushed away for an emergency C-section due to a wrapped cord. We were told by the NICU doctor that if my daughter had not been taken out when she was, she wouldn't be here today. We are getting ready to take our baby home instead of planning a funeral. Sheila could have stopped monitoring at 20 min but she didn't. Her passion, experience, intuition, and persistence saved my daughter's life. We thank God for putting her and the rest of our doctors and nurses at the right place at the right time. Our time at the hospital was filled with compassion and care, Sheila being a prime example thanks to her role in saving my daughter.
