My gratitude to VA Temple Medical, which knows no bounds. Simply said, I would not be here without the care and expertise of the VA staff. Over the years, I have been cared for by so many, that it is hard to single out one in particular, yet this lady is outstanding. I have come to hoping she will be on duty so I can speak to her. I'll narrow the specifics to my good fortune to be assigned to "the clinic" in Temple. Usually, this one is not as busy as the main hospital. However, there are times when the business starts to show on the staff. Everyone seems rushed. One the phone-on the computer-in a hurry. But this lady takes a wee bit of time to make the visit personal and important. You get her full attention and she really cares for your pains and wellness. While she is probably not allowed to express religion, one gets the feeling that we are touching, that we are communing with a healing spirit, that we are a oneness in this world, that she cares for me a really wants us to care for each other as human beings. Bottom line is that she puts love and care into her work. It shows and makes her relaxed. That helps us to overcome our anxieties and stress. That's much better than pills and needles.
