October 2024 Honoree
Sheila M Mulcahy, RN, BSN
Sheila is amazing and truly cares for her patients. After being a nurse for twenty years and working in hospitals for twenty-nine years, she can confidently say that she chose the right field when she sees the difference she can make in her patients' lives.
She was caring for a 25-year-old patient who was preparing for a procedure. The patient was alone, anxious, and overwhelmed by her situation. As she began to cry, Sheila was able to comfort her until she was taken into surgery. Before she went in, the patient thanked Sheila and asked her for a hug. Moments like these remind Sheila of the impact she has and reassure her that she makes her patients' time in the hospital a little easier.

Thank you, Sheila M, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
