Before I forget, I want to acknowledge Sheila's amazing kindness toward me today. Knowing that I came from the ER in pain and silently nervous about my procedure, Sheila washed my hair and wiped me down thoroughly so I would feel better! Despite being loopy under morphine, I felt a genuine compassion that was above and beyond any experience I have received as a patient. It felt more like a motherly touch. Earlier as Sheila was putting socks on my feet, she mentioned that my feet are like that of her 22-year-old daughter. Thank you so much, Sheila. Thank you for reminding me why I love nursing at KP. Thank you for easing my anxiety and pain through your kindness, even though you might have just been doing your job. Deepest gratitude.
