Sheila Mancuso, RN

I have worked with and received support from Sheila over the past few years. I am impressed with the spirit of teamwork she has inspired in her team. Over the time we have worked together, her team has consistently worked to accept additional tasks for the overall good of our patients. She leads in a way that keeps our patients first. Sheila manages her department to complete work during times when inpatient beds or staffing were constricted with a positive attitude. During our pandemic response, multiple team members cross trained and worked inpatient areas and provided their work unit for inpatient overflow admissions. On a consistent basis, her team assumes direct care for outpatient hemodialysis and postoperative patients until discharges allow inpatient bedding. These efforts impact patient experience, quality, and funding objectives for our division. Under Sheila's leadership, her team has maintained patient experience goals greater than goal. She verbalizes pride and attributes her successes entirely to her team. Sheila is humble in accepting praise and offers her expertise generously. She is a strong leader.
