I may not be a patient, but I have personally witnessed the care and compassion Sheila displays. Overseeing her patients and their families she makes sure she is keeping them updated as often as possible and makes them feel at ease. This nurse also plays a huge role in our unit's shared leadership. Her key involvement and support have helped turn our morale around for the better. Her selfless acts of service to our department have helped steer our department staff in a positive direction and contributed to making this Boswell unit a great place to work.

Sheila has motivated me to finish what I started and go back to school to get my RN license. She continues to encourage me and offers guidance when I come up with my many questions. She never complains about the number of hours she is putting in or the 100+ call hours every pay period she takes. She is the go-to RN for questions regarding her service line. For the record, if I was a patient needing any kind of heart surgery, she is the one and only nurse I would want on my team because I know that I would be in great hands and my family would be taken care of.
