January 2021 Honoree
sheila viti, MSN, RN, Med-Surg-BC
I'm a visitor in your hospital and I've observed Sheila during an emergency. Her kindness, caring, empathy and compassion meant a lot for that patient. The power of touch is so unique. Holding that patient's hand was so powerful, yet it was very simple but showed her compassion to that patient.
Sheila, while holding the patient's hand said "I am here, my name is Sheila, one of the nurses and I won't leave you alone. Let me know if you need anything". When I heard that, I was in awe. That's the true meaning of nursing and she made a difference to that patient. I admired her for what she did.

Thank you, Sheila, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
