Shelbie is compassionate. She went above and beyond her job. She made me feel very comfortable. Very accommodating. Sweet, kind and a wonderful nurse!

After a couple of days finding out there was really nothing more the NCCU could do for my husband. We had experienced other nurses and staff who were good. But something about Shelbi was over-the-top special. She was confident, calming, and compassionate. She looked us straight in the eyes and spoke to us with a lot of care. We told her to take care of him and she said, " I will take care of him like he was my dad."
We believed her and it was proven. She called us that night and right before she left for her shift to give us an update on where things were at. The next night she was on again, and before she got started on her shift she came right into the room, sat right beside me and spoke to me from one person to another like she was part of our family. She expressed how she wanted us to tell her if anything was going on because we knew him best. She never made us feel that we were bothering her. She just wanted to help.
We thank her so much for the comfort she gave my husband and our family. She's got it all going on!
