A homeless patient was being discharged today and over the course of the hospital stay, his shirt had become lost and he had no shirt to wear. Rather than allowing him to leave in a gown, paper scrubs, or shirtless, Shelby went out to her car and gave the patient two of her own shirts to wear.
Shelby is new to CHRISTUS Good Shepherd but in a short time here, she has demonstrated genuine compassion for her patients.
