Shelby L Straub, RN

It’s true, sometimes nurses make the worst patients. I'm a retired PACU Staff RN that has a recent inpatient admission for Group A Strep infection on my right arm. I was admitted to the hospital through the ER. I had the honor and pleasure of meeting Shelby while waiting for a bed to be available. Not only is Shelby very educated in this field, but she's also very compassionate and empathetic. I felt at ease from the moment I met her. Needless to say, I had many questions. She answered each honestly and accurately. We saw each other for the next two days. I've met and worked with many healthcare professionals for nearly 40 years and Shelby stands out as a truly gifted nurse. Her techniques were flawless, and her encouragement and advice were very much needed. She's a valuable asset to WellSpan!
