I have been on 6 North for 3 days. I have a kidney stone. All the nurses have been very polite. But I have one nurse that has gone above and beyond. Ms. Shelby is one of the most caring and loving nurses that I have met in a long time. Not only was she worried about me being sick with a kidney stone, but she also did everything she could to help monitor my pain.
I lost both of my parents in a tragic car accident and I have never had any type of surgery without my parents being with me. Ms. Shelby talked with me and gave me confidence that my parents would be with me the whole time.
Ms. Shelby is the most kind, understanding, and loving nurse. She touched my heart in many ways, especially knowing I had someone that would listen and actually care about what someone else is going through.
Ms. Shelby was an Angel sent from God to let me know my parents were there with me. This being close to the date when I lost my parents and my 1st surgery without my parents; Ms. Shelby lifted me tremendously!
