My mother-in-law was in 2C for about 9 days. She had severe dementia due to a UTI. She was seeing cats, dead people, and heard babies crying. This made her upset as she wanted to console them.

Nurse Shelby was so very kind and sweet to her. She really went above and beyond. One night, she walked in with a baby doll wrapped in a blanket and gave it to her. I have a sweet pic of her sleeping while cradling the baby. I will treasure that forever.

Also, one night around 3 am, I called for an update on her. Shelby went over everything and explained it patiently without rushing me off the phone. Shelby genuinely cares about her patients and their families.

Thanks for being an outstanding health care provider. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law passed away last year, but she still had that baby by her side.

Thank you, Shelby, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
