Have you ever been a patient in the hospital, the odd noises smells and sounds without a doubt it makes it scary, now factor the need to have surgery. My oh MY! But its not me who needs a surgery it is my father. My family and I were not ready to hear this from the doctor and fast forward to the the day of surgery.

We sent my father off to surgery with hugs, kisses and prayers and the CTICU staff welcomed me and my family with the same. Following a successful surgery my father's nurse Shelby Scott was nothing other than an angel. We were brought into my father's room shortly after Shelby got him settled. Her reassuring eyes and warm smile expressed an immediate sense of comfort yet my family still had questions. Shelby was supportive of her patient in explaining everything we need regarding his recovery.

Shelby's expertise definitely shines like Florence Nightingale. She demonstrates a sincere sense of caring and compassion. Her dedication was quite obvious and helped to alleviate all fear that we were having prior to successful surgery.

Thank you Shelby, for being an angel in disguise we will never forget.
