There is not one experience but throughout the time I was here I was attracted to Shelby's exuberance of life and her desire to develop a relationship with everyone including the family. She works to develop an ohana and you trust her skill and competence. She shows that her desire in life is to serve others.

All the nurses that took care of me at Castle were outstanding, but Shelby stood out. Her bright cheerful demeanor and eagerness to screen and answer questions really impressed me, even though she was working hours during the last day of my stay in the cardiac wing, so it was impressive that this did not affect her cheerful helpfulness and good humor.

Shelby is always cheerful and energetic at work. She puts everyone else in a good mood with her contagious energy. She is always willing to work extra on short staff days balancing out the workload. She floats back and forth from days to nights to help out when and where she can. She is knowledgeable in the nursing processes and is a champion with her documentation. Her patients love her positivity. She educates them at every possible moment and encourages their participation in their care.
