I remember Shelia spending time with a patient who wanted to learn how to play the violin while he was admitted for his stem cell transplant. Shelia played when she was younger and brought in sheet music and sat with the patient and tried to teach him the basics. The patient was ecstatic and so appreciative of the time she spent with him. Shelia always puts her patients and her co-workers before herself. She goes out of her way to make sure patients and staff have what they need and helps in any way possible. She volunteered to work nightshift for an indefinite period of time in order to help the unit. Shelia is very dedicated and deserving of recognition for her excellent nursing care.
