Shelley is extremely knowledgeable, always joyful, and always wants to help in any way possible. My daughter receives frequent blood transfusions. This can be a very long process. Waiting for CBC results, the IV team to start an IV, the transfusion itself all with a toddler. Shelley always makes sure that the baby gets everything she needs from food, to blankets, to starting the IV herself when the IV team is behind. We respect her and love having her as our nurse. She makes going to Children's much more enjoyable. We see many departments at Children's and although everyone has been great, no one has treated us as well as Shelley has. We feel that she embodies what a nurse should be and certainly deserves this award. Thank you!
