Shelley always goes above and beyond the call of duty when taking care of her patients. I have never met a patient that has had a bad experience with Shelley. While dealing with a patient suffering from severe memory loss, Shelley was beyond patient, and took all the time necessary in explaining to the patient what was going on (even if it meant repeating the same thing two or three times, due to the forgetfulness of the patient). I had to take the patient to a CT scan and she gave me tips on dealing with a patient suffering memory loss. All of the nurses here make a difference, but when working with patients in Intensive Care, the level of care that she delivers to not only the patients, but to their families as well, really makes all the difference in the world. It is hard for patients who have spent days in the ICU to have smiles on their faces, but whenever I encounter one of Shelley's patients, they always have smiles and nothing but great things to say.
