Shelley has looked after me many times, frequently whilst very short-staffed. On all occasions (including some very stressful/painful times) she has shown a friendly, positive demeanor at all times with both staff and patients. In addition to this, and the reason for my nomination is that she has taken the time to hold my hand and listen when I really needed someone but could not see my family. I will not be able to thank her enough for her compassion and understanding. The job that everybody sees is demanding enough but the time taken just to hold a hand and listen is such an important and overseen part of the job. Shelley has many times been commented on by other people on the ward for her understanding and willingness to 'do the extra' for any and everyone. She deserves every thanks and recognition for the way she is on every shift.
