Shelly took care of my husband when he was in the ICU at UPMC East. She went above and beyond to make sure he was well taken care of while he was dealing with his symptoms from alcohol withdrawal. She did more than just her required nursing duties. She took him to the lobby when he wanted out of his room. She had heart-to-heart conversations with him about his condition. He was always in good spirits when Shelly was his nurse. Shelly is the kind of nurse that every patient wants and needs. She cares about the comfort and well-being of her patients, and it is clear she will go above and beyond to ensure this happens. Shelly deserves to be recognized for her commitment and dedication to being a nurse!
