My husband had a farm accident and was in Sanford Hospital ICU and 5E for several days. All the nurses were wonderful but I want you to know that my sister Shelly Sayler was there waiting at the emergency room for me to arrive. She then continued to follow my husband's care, visiting him every day before she went to work and stopping after her shift helping him get up to go to the bathroom and encouraging him to get moving as he was feeling better. She came over on her day off when she found out he had to have surgery to put a tube in his chest to drain a lung. She was there for him when I couldn't be there all the time. She helped me understand medical procedures and how he was progressing. I love my sister because she is my sister but she is also a wonderful nurse. She is compassionate, caring, and truly extraordinary.
