Sheree Love works countless hours to provide the best care to her patients. There are many examples of how Sheree has shown I CARE "Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect, and Excellence".
There was a veteran without a place to stay, without money, and any social support. He was carrying his life belongings with him. He had three duffle bags and many trash sacks full and loaded on a cart. A lonely social worker was pushing his wheelchair and pulling his cart loaded down the halls. Every time she pushed or pulled, something fell off the cart. If only they had a few bungee cords, but they didn't. They had something even better, Sheree's smiling face. Sheree was their flashlight on a dark night.
Sheree stopped and spoke to the veteran and she shook his hand without judgment. The veteran said, "She is a nice nurse." Sheree didn't stop there, she stepped up to the cart, without a second thought, and pushed it down the hall and out the door to help him meet the cab. She helped the veteran into the cab. Now Sheree didn't ask nor wait for the Social Worker to ask for help. Sheree noticed where she could help and did just that. After the veteran left the property she followed the social worker back inside to help further assist.
This is not the only example of Sheree's commitment to serve our veterans. In fact, the list can go on for days. Sheree is a great nurse that truly cares about her patients, she is amazing with offering help to others, she maintains her professionalism, and she has a heart of gold. Sheree's vocabulary doesn't include "I am busy, that is not my job, and sorry I can't help you." Sheree is happy to offer help and delivers service with a smile. Sheree is a valuable member of the GEM Team, to the VA, and our community. Thank you, Sheree, for all you do for the veterans, their family, the community, and for the VA.
