Sheri appears to be able to do it all. She is caring, pragmatic, and has the most wonderful sense of whimsy.
Collaboratively, Sheri is strong! She has the innate sense to see when a fellow nurse is struggling due to an excessive workload, lack of experience, or a lack of confidence. Her first response is typically, "Let me help you." Her second response is generally, "Do you understand why we did it this way? Here is the policy - I printed it for you". Her goal is to teach, to lift, in hopes that you, too, may lift up others.
She is a shining star is in her ability to effectively communicate with others. I can clearly hear her at the beginning of every shift, "Good morning, my name is Sheri. I will be your nurse today. I would like to take a look at your son or daughter and then go over the plan of care for the day with you. Is that okay? Do you have any concerns at this time or any needs?"
Sheri is a true DAISY Nurse.
