She was right there to catch our baby and provide swift initial care to her and me with such composure and grace.
No one imagines their first birth to be in a backseat of a car but Nurse Sheri was there every step of the way making sure the baby and I felt safe, cared for, and heard among the chaos that ensues with a birth in the parking lot. She was the first friendly face to appear as our daughter made her grand entrance into the world from the back seat of the car. She was right there to catch our baby and provide swift initial care to her and me with such composure and grace. I knew our safety and well-being were her number one priority. She got us onto the gurney and upstairs to triage where she flawlessly managed both our baby girl’s care and my care in the chaos. She made sure I was updated about what was happening to baby and me every step of the way reassuring both my husband and me as she took everything in stride never rushing despite it being the end of her shift. We felt like her number one priority and focus through it all. My husband and I couldn’t be any more grateful that such a skilled and compassionate nurse was on to help us in our exciting time of need.
