Sherie has been instrumental in assuring all of the L&D staff was properly trained on the new equipment in Labor and Delivery, as well as new processes and workflow. Sherie created and implemented the training for the new hospital, and is often the "go to" person for questions regarding this new equipment and processes.
Sherie is also one of the main preceptors of new employees and accepts this duty with pleasure. She is an excellent teacher and is known to go above and beyond for her patients as well as her co-workers.
Finally, Sherie is one of the department champions for TeamSTEPPS and the Simulation program. Along with the other RN champions, she has dedicated hours of her time to developing and implementing a successful simulation program and will be co-teaching the TeamSTEPPS classes for Women's Services and NICU staff this May.
