Sherman Leavenworth, RN

My mother was admitted by ambulance for congestive heart failure and respiratory failure. She was unresponsive and intubated and the family was notified of impending death. We gathered by her bedside and waited…Sherman was there with us every step of the way. Comforting, compassionate, and attentive to not only my mother’s needs but the family as well. Mom did not like our plan evidently. She started breathing on her own and coming out of sedation. The next day, she was released back into our care. During this emotional roller coaster, Sherman was there as a constant, no-nonsense presence who seemed to genuinely share our joy at Mom’s return to health. I believe his honest observations helped lead us to the correct decisions that ultimately saved my mother’s life.
