Sherri is the best Charge Nurse ever; well respected by all staff and a wonderful mentor to our Department. She deserves praise for all of her dedication to the Emergency Department, but today especially.
We had a very sad family situation in the department where the mother of a young child passed away, and the caregiver who came to pick the child up did not have a car seat. Sherri sent our PAs to the store with her own money to purchase a brand-new car seat for the family so the child could leave to be with them. Sherri goes above and beyond for our patients, families, and staff.
