Sherry Demoura is a nurse who wears her heart on her sleeve. Her patients see this in her and often comment about, "Sherry, their nurse is awesome." Sherry's name comes up frequently in comments by patients in the Press Ganey surveys as providing "the best care". Also, during discharge phone calls, patients comment about Sherry by name and how wonderful she was to them during their stay at Morton.
Just recently two patients commented about Sherry's care for them, one saying she was "my angel, she helped me out during a really bad time. I have nothing but good to say about her."
Another gentleman gave Sherry a thank you card stating how wonderful she had been to him. He was profusely grateful for her care. Sherry exemplifies the CARES values when interacting with her patients. Her nursing practice is truly from her heart and her patients see that.
