Sherry's motherly nurse love calmed my fears, it meant so much to me how she took the situation over and poured so much compassion upon me.
I was transferred by ambulance for a Cath lab procedure. The ride over was extremely painful due to spine pain/stenosis as well as mentally draining. Coming alone with no family member I was thinking the worst and the what-ifs. I was in extreme pain and wasn't looking forward to coming into a new place with no support system. The moment I arrived on the 3rd floor I was met by a woman who immediately came to help me off the gurney, though the ambulance EMTs were wonderful. This nurse looked at me behind her mask with such great compassion, knew by my facial expression I was in terrible pain, took me by the arm and gingerly assisted me to my room, and helped me into my bed. Her motherly nurse love calmed my fears, it meant so much to me how she took the situation over and poured so much compassion upon me. She explained every step of what would happen and stayed very confident in her role but very compassionate, understanding of my physical state by very understanding of the mental anxiety I was feeling. Numerous times she continued to calm me in her understanding of no family members allowed and how very hard it was facing this situation by myself. It was like she was my very best friend standing beside me and assured me I was not alone. I am so overwhelmed at her garb of compassion, character, love for others that she portrays and numerous times when out of her way to provide me with the utmost care. I am so impressed at what she portrays as a nurse. The attributes that I've spoken of amaze me. She is one top-quality nurse that I felt so blessed to have had her caring for me. Thank you, Shery, for being the best of the best in a world that is so unsafe with COVID and all that's happening. I felt so very safe and cared for!
