June 2018 Honoree
sherry manns, RN
Some nurses stand far above the rest. Sherry walked in the room with a smile and had fully reviewed Dad's chart and was ready with a plan to discuss with the doctors. She notified and verified my request and her ideas with the doctor, who agreed and implemented.
Sherry developed an instant connection with my father. He saw her genuine caring nature and responded to her and even engaged in conversation. She took the time to listen, although his speech was impaired by a stroke and gave him time to express himself, while she attended to and developed a common-sense plan to execute care.
She glows with honesty, concern, and compassion for her patients. She made uncomfortable processes more tolerable and gave me the confidence to leave dad in her care for the longest time since his intake. She is a truly caring professional.

Thank you, Sherry, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
