My sister, unfortunately, went to the hospital with contractions only to find out her baby had no heartbeat at 38 weeks. Sherry was the nurse holding my sister’s hand when she got the news. Sherry then took care of my sister and us as her family the rest of the night. She was there for us all and sat with my sister and cried with her. I heard her tell my sister many times that this was not her fault. At shift change in the morning, my sister was starting to dilate, and Sherry stayed over an hour past her shift to be there for my sister as she delivered her sweet angel baby. Sherry was not her nurse that night, but came back in to make sure my sister was okay and helped to make molds of my niece’s hands and feet. She was there in one of the most horrific times a person can go through, and she did it with such understanding and caring. We could never thank her enough for all she did for our family that night.
