This nurse presented information in a clear and concise way, and the years of experience were evident.
I feel fortunate that I’ve never spent any real time in a hospital nor had major surgeries so the whole experience was new to me. Numerous individuals, nurses, associates, check-in staff, everyone was quite friendly and attentive. After my 90-minute Aquablation procedure and during post-op recovery it was determined by the medical staff that I should be kept overnight to monitor my situation. This nurse was working the overnight shift and immediately was reassuring and kept me abreast of the details about all the meds I was being given and possible side effects as well as the goal of the treatment I was receiving. This nurse presented information in a clear and concise way, and the years of experience were evident. This nurse also made positive adjustments to my sodium chloride treatment which helped to provide a more continual consistent flow through my bladder. This nurse did an outstanding job to ensure my comfort and came around with timely check-ins to see how I was feeling and/or to change the sodium chloride bag. This nurse’s calm and cool demeanor was reassuring as this nurse never seemed rushed and was always “in the moment” during the hourly attention to my care. I truly felt like this nurse was taking care of one of their own family members. This nurse was a tremendous asset in helping me to be discharged the next day with a positive bill of health and progress. This nurse should be commended for their work ethic, attitude, and bedside manner.
