Sherri is a compassionate and dedicated ICU nurse who provided care to my grandmother. As her condition continued to worsen, the difficult decision to remove life-sustaining support was made. Sherri could not have been more helpful during this time. She was very attentive to our entire family, answering questions, talking to us about the medication and what to expect if various support was removed. Making sure we understood all our options, she provided as much information and comfort as she could.

Sherri had a very rough night with my grandmother and yet it didn't seem to phase her at all. Exhausted and overwhelmed, my mother and I had gone home when it seemed my grandmother was doing well. We returned early in the morning to find Sherri had been with her for quite some time, trying to keep the oxygen on and cleaning her up, even as my grandmother resisted. I know I don't possess the patience or empathy to do what Sherri does - always with sensitivity, care and concern.
