Shi has continuously been available when needed. She has shown such great leadership skills for me to lean on in times of need. Shi cares for our patients and our staff with a great amount of love. Shi was there for me, and a parent who was dealing with problems at home of being abused. This mother needed assistance having the father retrieve his belongings from the hospital, with no contact with the child. Shi stayed late and ensured that the child was in a safe space and was well cared for while security and law enforcement escorted the father to retrieve his belongings. Shi’s presence is also very prevalent when she is at work, from asking us how our shift is going to taking care of patients by giving baths, changing diapers, or helping with medications. Shi has continued to go above and beyond for the staff, and I truly appreciate all the times she has held my patients, supported families, and ensured that, as a nurse, I was also well cared for.
