Shine Milligan 2, RN

Shine is the perfect name for a man who radiates kindness and compassion. He was very caring and attentive. I felt that he went above and beyond to see that my needs were met and that I was as comfortable as possible. At the same time, he was thorough and professional. One example of his compassion is when I walked into the ER on Saturday night. I ended up having emergency surgery and then had a colostomy bag as a result of the surgery. I felt that my life had changed in an instant and I was completely unprepared for this new normal.

At one point, I was overcome with emotion and broke down crying. Shine sat with me, patted my shoulder, listened to me, and comforted me while he talked me through my breakdown. I felt like he treated me like family. The entire nursing staff is incredible. However, there is something truly special about Shine.
