"Shirley has worked for over 11 years at the Fontana Medical Center providing extraordinary care to her patients on the Labor & Delivery Unit. She has a very calm, caring and compassionate demeanor and her patients describe her as "respectful and extremely helpful". One high risk patient stated, "I was fearful that I might lose my baby, we had several tense minutes and Shirley remained calm and reassuring throughout the entire process. I feel very fortunate that she was there for both me and my baby girl".

Shirley frequently volunteers to assist her fellow nurses, by switching assignments so she can relieve for breaks and lunches, and she also volunteers to perform duties such as stocking the LDRs with supplies.
