“I have worked side by side with this extraordinary nurse for many years and know firsthand that she demonstrates compassion, expertise, and loyalty day in and day out with each patient contact. Shirley always treats her patients with respect and dignity. She is very calming and soothing to her patients when they are waking up from a surgical procedure; always greeting her patients with a huge smile and deep dimples. Her concern for her patients is apparent with each facial expression and gentle touch. Many patients and nurses praise Shirley on how well she takes care of patients during their recovery room experience. She is also one of the best preceptors; her knowledge and patience always leaves our new nurses impressed. Shirley is a great asset to our unit and I’m so happy to thank her.”
