Shirley is an exceptional nurse that positively goes out of her way to maintain excellent service to our Veterans. Recently she encountered scheduling difficulties in getting a patient admitted into home base care to ensure the best care for this patient. The family was concerned about the long wait for their father and Shirley was able to successfully accommodate this patient in less than a week to ensure he did not go without needed service.

She also took extra time to talk in length with the patient's son about his care and the services he will be getting with him transitioning to the home-based program. The WBVA organization is very lucky to have Shirley as part of the home-based program caring for our patients. Shirley goes above and beyond to help the veterans she even went to the pharmacy to pick medications for a home-bound patient.
