Shirley’s personality was bright and cheerful. I truly appreciated the way she respected my right to privacy and my dignity. She made me feel like I mattered. It was very evident that Shirley enjoys her job (caring for people). She made sure that I was comfortable and that my pain was under control. I truly appreciate how she explained each step of my treatment and monitored my progress, as it was very important that my bladder emptied and that I voided on my own before being released. Shirley reviewed my discharge packet with me and verified that I understood what to expect and when to contact my doctor to seek care after being released. Nurses like Shirley are very much needed and should be celebrated. Please thank Shirley for her pleasant attitude, dedication, and caring demeanor. I am forever grateful to her for the care that she provided me.
