Shirley Poon is fully deserving of this tremendous recognition because she exhibits highly valued qualities that promote our mission of providing trusted care. Shirley consistently makes sure that her patients' needs are met. She acts as the lead nurse on her cases by asking questions, working with other nurses and bringing concerns to the office's attention to ensure they are addressed, and things run smoothly for her patient(s). She comes into the Elgin office every week on her own time to replenish supplies for the team and turns in all paperwork.
Shirley provides the highest quality of care to her patient(s) and often puts their needs ahead of her own. She demonstrates such compassion for her patients and their families, as well as the PSA office. She truly exemplifies "team."
Shirley is always honest, responsible and trustworthy. Reliability is challenging in this field but never with her. We have never come across a nurse more dedicated, caring and loyal.
