My mom spent a week in ICU before she passed away. My mom was my best friend and I will miss her so much. Nurse Shirley is the very best. She was kind, caring and extremely passionate about her work. She treated my mom with the utmost dignity and respect. I appreciated her expertise and kind heart. As the days kept coming I always prayed that I would find Shirley working at mom’s bedside. She was always honest with us and answered our questions.

MVH is the Region’s Leader because of nurses like Shirley. I would want her by my side and with my family if I were in the ICU. I hope you will award Nurse Shirley with the DAISY Award. In the hardest time if my life she shared her professional skills and kind heart with my mom and my family. There are angels at work and Nurse Shirley is an angel!
