One of Macomb Center’s wonderful nurses in Diagnostic Radiology, Shirley Wenglikowski, RN, made a difference for a patient in pain. The patient’s nomination stated,
“Shirley was truly a God send! During what was a scheduled periocentesis procedure, the doctor was called to another site on an emergency. Because there were outpatients waiting, they were going to make me wait HOURS to have my procedure done. Shirley took full control and was able to secure another doctor to do my procedure and 8.5 liters later, I was comfortable and out of pain! Nurses are truly the BEST!”
